Making My Debut At The Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival
This past weekend I visited Atlantic City, New Jersey, for the Food and Wine Festival that took place there. I spent the day on the boardwalk, hosting various culinary events along with chefs Robert Irvine and Marcus Samuelsson. In the morning, I designed a three-course menu for Breakfast by the Sea, which took place in the courtyard of Bally’s Casino. I demonstrated how to make my favorite Green Juice, Bloody Mary, and Giant Cheese Popovers with fried eggs, bacon, and creamed spinach. Afterwards, I strolled to the Grand Market for a book signing of Martha’s American Food, Martha Stewart’s Baking Handbook, and Martha Stewart’s Cooking School. I posed for photos with fans and also explored Atlantic City’s boardwalk, as well as a couple of restaurants. Later, I hosted a Beach Burger Bash in Caesar Hotel’s Beach Tent, where I discussed my Perfect Martha Burger and shared some helpful burger tips. Completing a busy day, in the evening I presented a three-course meal for dinner, which included demos of a Ginger Caipirinha, a Cool and Crunchy Melon-Cucumber Salad, and a Cioppino dish. Afterwards, I served a delicious Blueberry Crisp dessert before returning home. It was great to see all of the fans who support our magazine, TV programs, cookbooks, and products.
