My Visit To Cistus Nursery In Portland, Oregon
As a lover of plants, it's always such a treat for me to visit a well-stocked nursery that deals in unusual varieties of plants. I mentioned in Tuesday's blog, A Visit With My Former Head Gardener, Andrew Beckman, that while being in Portland, Oregon, we stopped at Cistus Nursery on Sauvie Island, an outstanding enterprise. Andrew and Bob introduced me to their friend, Sean Hogan, a co-owner. I was impressed with Sean's vast plant knowledge and also all of the new forms, textures, and colors of his inventory. A real gardener's dream!
