Mixing My Paint Colors At The Home Depot!
After returning from my vacation last week, I decided to stop by The Home Depot on West 23rd Street in Manhattan, near our corporate headquarters and our TV Studio. As you may know, our company has a wonderful partnership with The Home Depot, offering a range of Martha Stewart-branded products for the home and décor, including lighting, carpet, bath vanities, and our very popular paint palette. Color is one of my favorite subjects and an important design element in the home. It can attract the eye, create a mood, camouflage flaws, break up spaces, or unify diverse architectural elements. It can truly transform a space. At The Home Depot, our stunning color palette is formulated for use in all Glidden paints, including the new Duo Paint + Primer. We also offer Martha Stewart Living-branded specialty and project paint products, which are an exciting and growing part of The Home Depot’s product assortment.
The staff at the 23rd Street Home Depot is knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. The manager, Pelly Checci, greeted me and made sure I got my official orange Home Depot apron before I jumped behind the paint mixing counter. Burnett, a sales associate in the paint department, really knows her stuff. I gave her the colors I wanted mixed, colors that were used on our TV studio set. Burnett walked me through the entire process of blending each color with a Glidden base using a very precise machine. The colors: Fortune Cookie, Oolong Tea, and Carton matched perfectly.
