As you know, I love to horseback ride. Here I am riding in the Cayman Islands, one of our new MSC Cruises destinations, where you can take this refreshing ride through the azure colored Caribbean ocean and then enjoy a delicious and organic lunch.
The Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory, encompasses three islands in the western Caribbean Sea. Grand Cayman, the largest island, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman, the smallest island – home to diverse wildlife, from endangered iguanas to seabirds such as red-footed boobies.
Another destination is Costa Maya, a stretch of Caribbean coast on Mexico’s eastern Yucatán Peninsula, where you can see native fish, monkeys, and birds while kayaking through its rivers and streams.
You can relax with family and friends, or tour Bacalar – a town in southeastern Mexico near the Belize border where there are endless views of blue and turquoise waters.
St. John is the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, which are located in the Caribbean Sea. Its forests shelter resident and migratory birds, including cuckoos, warblers, and hummingbirds, while mangroves support corals and anemones.
See all the beautiful views from St. John. 60-percent of its land is a pristine national park.
Enjoy walking its beaches, swimming, snorkeling, and more.
St. Maarten is part of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It comprises two separate countries, divided between its northern French side, called Saint-Martin, and its southern Dutch side, Sint Maarten. The island is home to busy resort beaches and secluded coves. It’s also known for fusion cuisine, vibrant nightlife and duty-free shops.
While vacationing in the Caribbean, make your trip even more special with our exclusive holiday packages planned for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s – you and your family will remember it for years to come.
In Jamaica, you’ll visit Konoko Falls – one of Jamaica’s best-kept secrets and home to a zoo, an indigenous cultural museum and one of Jamaica’s largest collections of flowering plants.
You’ll also visit Ocho Rios, a beautiful port town on the north coast of Jamaica.
The Bahamas is a coral-based archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. Its 700-plus islands and cays range from uninhabited to packed with resorts. The northernmost, Grand Bahama, and Paradise Island, home to many large-scale hotels, are among the best known. Scuba diving and snorkeling sites include the massive Andros Barrier Reef, Thunderball Grotto and the black-coral gardens off Bimini.
In Punta Gorda, you’ll learn about the Garifuna families, whose ancestors—a mix of African slaves and indigenous locals— left them an endlessly rich and interesting history and many age-old fishing techniques and traditions – a treat for anyone who loves the outdoors.
Roatán is located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, and is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras. Here, you’ll venture through Oak Ridge—a collection of rainbow-colored houses on stilts, visit mangrove tunnels, and feast on Honduran seafood.
Here is a closer view of Roatan’s colorful village coastline.
Roatan is located about 30-miles off the north coast of Honduras atop the world’s second largest coral reef. The reef attracts fish and is world known for scuba diving.
Or, listen to the sounds of nature as you swing on a hammock.
