A Big Book Signing Followed by a Fabulous Tea
On today’s blog, I’m backing up a bit to mid-November and another book signing event, which was held at Williams-Sonoma in the impressive NorthPark, a premier shopping and dining center in Dallas, Texas. The book, of course, is my newest and seventy-fifth, Martha’s Entertaining: A Year of Celebrations. My traveling companions and I actually left Washington DC in the morning and landed in Dallas three-and-one-half hours later. We were met by a driver, who transported us to Williams-Sonoma, where I had several media appointments scheduled, beginning at 12:30. The book signing commenced at 1:00 and for the next two hours, I met so many terrific people, many of whom came from considerable distances to see me. Then, at 3:30, I arrived at the beautiful home of Charlotte Anderson, the daughter of Dallas Cowboys owners, Jerry and Gene Jones. When my friend, Gene, heard I was coming to Dallas, she graciously extended an invitation to a lovely tea. I met many dynamic ladies and it was a real treat to spend some time with members and extended members of the Jones’ family, once again.
