Here I am with Pat LaFrieda and Jason Craven, CEO of Southern Botanical. Jason traveled all the way from Dallas, Texas to join our Facebook LIVE.
And here is my new Grill Dome from Southern Botanical. The round shape provides even heat distribution while the thick ceramic walls hold in the heat. Plus, you can have it custom colored – of course, I chose the color closest to my signature Bedford Gray.
Here, Pat and I started our Facebook LIVE broadcast talking about the Martha Stewart Ultimate Grilling Package now sold on Pat’s web site. It contains four one-inch thick steaks, four six-ounce burger patties, six hot dogs and a tub of my special herbed butter. lafrieda.com/martha-stewart
Once the meat is cut, it is all vacuum packed and shipped fresh to your door. This pack is the most delicious assortment of meats. Watch our Facebook LIVE broadcast to learn more details about the meat blends in my Ultimate Grilling Pack. On the top left tray are samples of the cuts of meat Pat uses to make the blends.
This grill uses lump hardwood charcoal which is sustainable – something that is very important to me.
The grill was set to 500-degrees Fahrenheit as Pat starts putting the steaks on the grill grate. These steaks are simply seasoned with salt and pepper.
Pat gave tips on using salt and pepper and when it’s the best time to add the seasonings.
Jason taught us how to use the damper to raise and lower the temperature – it’s so easy to use and it heats up within minutes.
I love these Facebook LIVE broadcasts because we can do them so easily – it’s all done with an iPhone and boom microphone.
Pat’s hot dogs included in my Ultimate Grilling Pack are all-beef natural dogs with no nitrates – so delicious.
Once the steaks were done medium rare, Pat took one off to cut and taste – look how tender and perfectly cooked they are.
Next, the burgers and buns. Six-ounce burgers and the best brioche buns from Balthazar in New York City.
And if you watch the show, find out what I do with the charcoal ashes once they’re used and cooled. https://balthazarny.com/
This grill’s ability to heat up and cool down is so fast and accurate – it really is a magnificent grill.
Once the burgers and hot dogs were done, we walked over to the table and all the fixings.
We prepared a platter of fresh lettuce from my garden plus the traditional burger fixings – onions, tomatoes, cheese, pickles and of course, the condiments. We cooked lunch for our Facebook production crew and for my outdoor grounds crew – everyone had a terrific meal.
Look at the wonderful spread of foods we served – corn, potato salad, fresh fruits, and more. Everyone was so excited for lunch.
We all had this great grilled corn with Mexican cheese. See the recipe on my web site at https://www.marthastewart.com/318757/grilled-corn-with-cheese-and-chile.
Pat also brought some ribs – there were no leftovers after this meal. Pat’s meats are so flavorful.
Our own Thomas Joseph joins our Facebook LIVE to share how he cooked them – be sure to watch the show. The ribs were a big hit!
And lots of fresh watermelon for everyone to enjoy.
We also had a bowl of fresh cherries. The fresh flowers were cut from my garden earlier in the day.
Here’s Pat dressing his burger and hot dog. On the show, I talk about all my favorite hot dog toppings.
And here I am pouring some of our delicious pomegranate iced tea – made by my longtime housekeeper, Laura Acuna, with our favorite POM Wonderful concentrate. Everyone loves this refreshing drink. https://www.pomwonderful.com/
My grilling pack is just one of many Pat and I will be creating – we have a lot of great ideas planned for you. And remember, all the meat from my Ultimate Grilling Pack comes fresh to your home the day after ordering.
Jason and I posed for this quick snapshot after the broadcast – we had such a fun time. I can’t wait to grill again on my new Grill Dome from Southern Botanical – I think I will make pizza next.
Pat and I are so thrilled with this offering – and we know you’ll love it too. Just go to Pat’s web site right now for more information. lafrieda.com/martha-stewart
