Last week, Kevin Sharkey and I conducted a book signing at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City, their flagship store. We also made several arrangements inspired by the book. The event was held during the annual Macy's Flower Show - many people attended and we had a great time signing copies and talking with the crowd. Guests loved flipping through the collection of stunning photographs and reading some of the many tips and hints for how and when to plant and nurture flowers, and at the perfect time, cut from the garden. For those who could not attend, we put it all on Facebook LIVE. I hope you all have a copy of "Martha's Flowers" - you’ll absolutely love it.
Enjoy these photos.
It was so nice to see the many signs posted all over Macy’s announcing the event. Many visitors were also there to view the annual Macy’s Flower Show.

Each guest received an April issue of “Living”, and Martha & Marley Spoon and Martha Stewart Wine Co. vouchers on their chairs. (Photo by Kent Miller)
The seats filled up very quickly. This is Shannon Sanders Weaver from Charlston, South Carolina. She was in New York celebrating her daughter’s birthday and was so eager to flip through the pages of our magazine for spring ideas. (Photo by Kent Miller)

We did four demos including one on how to condition three types of flowers to help prolong the life of the arrangement. (Photo by Kent Miller)
This demo also showed how to sear the steam’s end immediately in a hot flame to seal the latex sap that exudes from the cut.
For those who couldn’t attend this event, we did it all on Facebook LIVE for Macy’s and shared so many useful flower arrangement tips. (Photo by Kent Miller)
We also had such a fun time answering questions from the audience – it was so nice to see such an enthusiastic crowd. (Photo by Kent Miller)
The event was set-up with 80-seats, but there were dozens more standing around the stage. (Photo by Kent Miller)
Here is our stacked cake stands with spring flowering bulbs arrangement. We displayed these flowers on 10-inch and 12-inch white cake stands from my collection exclusively at Macy’s. Each bloom was cut short and placed in a shot glass for display. (Photo by Kent Miller)
After the arrangements were made, each one was raffled off to an audience member – here I am picking another winner. (Photo by Kent Miller)
Here is a happy winner with her flower arrangement in one of my nine-inch vegetable bowls – also available exclusively from Macy’s. (Photo by Kent Miller)
All the guests took many photos, and posted them on their own personal social media platforms. (Photo by Kent Miller)

Visitors were very pleased to see the book – it was so nice to see everyone smiling as they stood in line to have their books signed. (Photo by Kent Miller)
Kevin and I signed more than a hundred books. Many guests purchased multiples to give away as gifts. (Photo by Kent Miller)
Here I am with “Martha’s Flowers”. I am so proud to share this book with you – we all worked very hard on it. (Photo by Kent Miller)
During the event, we served a couple of bites including these gougeres from my book, “Martha Stewart’s Baking Handbook”. (Photo by Kent Miller)
We also served cherry tomato BLTs from “Martha Stewart’s Vegetables: Inspired Recipes and Tips for Choosing, Cooking, and Enjoying the Freshest Seasonal Flavors”. (Photo by Kent Miller)
And, we served potatoes with caviar and crème fraiche – also from my “Vegetables” book. Everyone loved all these flavorful bites. (Photo by Kent Miller)
I always try to take photos with guests after signing their books – I love meeting all the people and hearing their stories of how I’ve inspired them over the years. (Photo by Kent Miller)
And I also personalize each book I sign – it is something I have always done to make each copy as special as possible. (Photo by Kent Miller)
It was a very successful and terrific event. I hope you have your copy of my book, “Martha’s Flowers” – please let me know what you think about it in the comments section below. (Photo by Kent Miller)
