Tricking and Treating With Martha on Hallmark Channel
It’s no secret that Halloween is my favorite holiday and I am so happy to tell you about my one-hour primetime special airing this Sunday night, October 10th at 9p/8c on Hallmark Channel. Tricking and Treating with Martha Stewart features special guest Brendan Fraser. This year, our very talented set designers brought their magic to my home in Bedford. We decided to use my equipment barn to set the scene and what they created is just incredible. I hope you will tune in for a really fun show filled with lots of great Halloween tips and ideas. Another horrible vignette
Even rotting apples
To create the fabulously eerie Halloween setting in my equipment barn, a team of talented set decorators got to work first, by building a ‘false’ wall.
The designers found amazing props like these old beetle prints.
Preliminary plans
The ‘false’ wall, complete with window was constructed and painted to exactly match the wainscotted walls of the equipment barn.
Many, many boxes of props were brought to the set.
Testing out one type of fog maker
Amazing shells adorned the walls.

Brendan and I would love to pick your brain.
Just what are those brains made of?

Franny was slightly confused.
But she was happy to pose for this shot.
Now I am wrapping Brendan with the mummy bandages. What Brendan doesn’t know is that he is actually on a spit over a fire!
Oh no! The spit slipped and Brendan landed on the fire!
Paul, Gym, David, Daniel, and Aaron were all needed to rectify the situation. Poor Brendan!
This puppeteer is Matt Leabo.
We succeeded in transforming Brendan into a complete mummy.
Doesn’t he look great?
