A visit to Pasanella and Son Vintners, not your usual wine store!
I recently had the great pleasure of visiting my friends, Marco Pasanella and Rebecca Robertson, owners of the fabulous Pasanella and Son Vintners located at 115 South Street in New York City, in the old Fulton Fish Market area.  Rebecca is also the Deputy Decorating Editor for Martha Stewart Living. She and her husband, Marco, were residing in an apartment above a fish vendor. When Fulton Fish relocated to the Bronx in 2005, the couple bought the vacated space below and transformed it into their dream of an incredible wine store, Pasanella and Son, aptly named in celebration of the birth of their first child.
Pasanella and Son, stocks more that 400 wines, each hand selected from small, family-run vineyards to established and sought after wine makers. They also sell a fine assortment of beautiful and unusual wine-related accessories. But what’s really wonderful about Pasanella and Son is that Marco and Rebecca have a keen interest in educating their customers about wine and wine paring. They regularly open their doors for tastings, seminars, and special events. It’s kind of a little paradise for wine lovers. I hope you enjoy these photos taken at a tasting we did for a television segment that will air today!
