A Storm Blasts Through New York City
Here in the Northeast, this week is expected to be hot and humid, with temperatures hitting the mid-90s - pretty typical for this time of year. However, last week, we had some wild midseason weather when a fast, but powerful thunderstorm system slapped New York City and the surrounding areas. The storm brought torrential rains, high winds and blasts of lightning. It was so dramatic, employees gathered at our office windows to watch the storm develop overhead. Unfortunately, I was busy in meetings, but I asked our staff to submit their photos, so I could share them with you.
Below the photo gallery is a time-lapsed video of the fast-moving storm from our associate art director, Catherine Lee. How has the weather been where you live?
