Friends of Hudson River Park Auction Dinner #2
It was another high ticket price for the “ultimate culinary experience”!
Last week was the second of two winning dinners auctioned off at the 2014 Friends of Hudson River Park annual gala fundraiser. It included a dinner for up to 20-people made by Momofuku’s Chef David Chang and myself at the winner’s choice venue. This event was a 40th birthday party at Bouley Test Kitchen in New York City. David and his team prepared three of the four course meal, with dishes inspired by his famous Momofuku restaurants. My staff and I were responsible for the table setting and the dessert. For the table, I chose to create a garden centerpiece with herbs planted in a variety of copper pots and pans for a “Chef’s Table” theme.
David and I are both on the Friends of Hudson River Park Board and were thrilled to participate in the auction. Both the winning dinners were delicious and fun, but the cause was also very important - the proceeds went to the maintenance and care of the beautiful five-mile long Hudson River Park.
Here are photos from the dinner - enjoy them.
