Planting Peas at the Farm
This week has been very productive at the farm - we finished prepping the flower garden, and we planted our first crop in the vegetable garden - peas!
Peas thrive in cool weather and young plants can even tolerate light frosts. It’s important to plant peas as soon as possible in spring in order to get a full harvest before hot summer temperatures arrive.
My gardener, Ryan, planted several varieties of shelling peas and edible pods along the fence in the vegetable garden.
It was the perfect weather day to take some photos of this process - enjoy them.
