A Peafowl Update
My young peafowl are out and having lots of fun!
So many of you enjoy the updates on the animals at my farm, so I thought I would share with you the latest on my growing peafowl.
As you know, last autumn, I acquired four peachicks. They’re about seven months old now, and all are doing very well. Over the last week, they’ve been venturing out of their coop and exploring the areas of their enclosed pen.
These birds won’t be fully mature until two and three years of age, when they will be old enough to breed and when the males grow their first train of upper tail covert feathers. For now, they’re active, vocal and growing more colorful every day.
