It’s been a very busy week of holiday appearances. Yesterday, I was at the Amazon Book Store for a special LIVE show to promote my holiday products on Amazon as well as my latest, and my 95th book, “Cookie Perfection.” I hope you have your copy.
It takes a lot to set up for a LIVE broadcast. Here is the view through the bookstore window – the crew is busy preparing for the show.
The set looks so pretty with my Martha Stewart Pre-Lit Christmas Trees, Garlands and Wreaths.
I have lots of different artificial Christmas trees, including pine, spruce, flocked or un-flocked, with pre-strung brilliant incandescent lights.
Here are Thomas Joseph and Anduin Havens checking last-minute details before the show.
Here I am with Amazon LIVE host, Lilliana Vazquez. We’re embellishing my Stained-Glass Sugar Cookies. The recipe is in my “Cookie Perfection” book.
The “stained-glass” is made from crushed hard candy tucked into these sugar cookie cutouts.
I hung one of the ornaments on this nearby tabletop tree.
The tree looks so festive when filled – and what a fun project to do with the children.
We also iced these Gingerbread Trees. Not only are the cookies easy to make, but all your holiday guests will love them displayed on a cake stand, also available on Amazon.
The producers and directors for the show sit in a control room, where they can see everything up close on large screen monitors. This is a view from inside.
From outside the store – lots of passers-by stopped to see what we’re doing.
I also showed some of my other popular holiday offerings from Amazon, such as my coffees. We worked closely with our friends at Barrie House Coffee Roasters to select blends of organic, fair-trade beans. They come in whole bean and ground, bags or single-serve, and decaffeinated.
After the LIVE appearance, guests lined up for the book signing. Many purchased multiple copies of “Cookie Perfection” to give as gifts.
And look who stopped by with his 20-books to be signed? My friend Christopher Spitzmiller. He wins the day’s award for the most books purchased by one person.
If you’re still working on your holiday gift list, go to Amazon right now and check out my Collection of great ideas. And if you missed yesterday’s show, don’t forget to go to the Amazon home page this morning to watch it replay. I have more holiday blogs coming up. Wait until you see all the decorations at my Bedford, New York farm – you will love them.
