The box arrives at your door just like all our meal-kit deliveries – complete with fresh pre-portioned ingredients. Here is our box ready to be opened.
And, just like every Martha & Marley Spoon box, everything is well-packaged and labeled, so there’s absolutely no confusion in the kitchen. I brought these three kits home from the office, but our service sends the kits to the home complete with everything needed to make the meal for two or four. It’s a superior, money saving, time saving meal-kit delivery system.
The first meal to be prepared is the Skillet Cheese Ravioli. All the ingredients are sourced to local quality purveyors and growers – just choose the dishes the week before, and pick the day of delivery – it’s that easy!
Among the first steps after cutting the broccoli into florets is to finely grate the Parmesan cheese. This is my “great grater”, my Microplane Zester sold exclusively at Macy’s – it’s one of my favorite kitchen gadgets! https://mcys.co/2NtFpm3
The only ingredients Martha & Marley Spoon ask you to provide are the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Here’s one tablespoon of olive oil measured and placed into the skillet. This spoon is one of my Copper Plated Measuring Spoons available at Macy’s. https://mcys.co/2tzNtbX
The broccoli is added to the pan first, and then the garlic and spinach.
This pasta dinner doesn’t require any boiling and draining. The ravioli is just steamed in the same skillet, tossed with creamy mascarpone and nutty Parmesan cheeses. This is one of the matching Copper Plated Measuring Cups from my collection exclusively at Macy’s. https://mcys.co/2E7NzfE
Once the ravioli is cooked, the greens are added and everything is broiled until crispy.
This entire meal takes less than 30-minutes to prepare. It is so delicious, even your pickiest eaters will love it!
The next meal is the French Dip Burger & Oven Fries. Martha & Marley Spoon provides step-by-step instructions that are so easy to follow. While the oven is preheated to 450-degrees Fahrenheit, the potato is cut into 1/2-inch thick wedges and sprinkled with salt.
Two-tablespoons of olive oil are drizzled onto the wedges and then the baking sheet is placed into the hot oven until the fries are golden and crisp – about 25-minutes.
All the ingredients are used, so nothing gets wasted in the cooking process. A portion of the shallot is chopped and the rest is left to slice for the burger if desired.
This meal kit provides enough beef to form two five-inch patties. The patties are seasoned and cooked until well-browned.
This dinner also provides a pre-portioned flavorful broth, or au jus, to serve with the burger and fries.
This burger and fries with green salad will become a favorite menu option for the entire family.
Here are the ingredients and menu card for the third recipe – the Lentil & Cauliflower Soup.
The cauliflower is prepared – cored and then cut into one-inch florets – everything is so fresh.
The florets are placed on a rimmed baking sheet, tossed with two-tablespoons of olive oil, a half-teaspoon of salt and some pepper. The cauliflower is then placed into a 450-degree Fahrenheit oven and roasted until tender and golden brown.
This recipe called for cast-iron. The aromatics – onions, carrots and celery – are cooked over medium high heat until they are softened and lightly browned.
The lentils, vegetable broth, three-cups water and thyme are added and brought to a boil.
The cauliflower and grated cheddar cheese are then sprinkled over the soup mixture.
And everything is broiled on the top shelf until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
The soup is ladled into bowls and garnished with the remaining thyme leaves.
This was such a big hit – so tasty and nutritious.
