Every year, I always enjoy getting together with colleagues to share good holiday cheer.
Our annual company party was held last week. More than 100-employees from Sequential Brands Group attended the event at the Hotel Americano in New York City. There was an array of delicious foods, various cocktails, plus lots of great music and dancing. It was a great time to celebrate the season and the year's many accomplishments.
Enjoy these photos.
Designed by New York-based, Mexican-born architect, Enrique Norten, the Hotel Americano’s 10-story boutique hôtel is veiled in stainless steel mesh. The hotel is just blocks from our executive offices and was the perfect venue for our annual gathering.
One of the most popular and fun spots was the photo booth set up in one corner of the room. Here I am with my dear friend and EVP Design Director, Kevin Sharkey. There were lots of props to use for photos, but Kevin, you’re not pointing that “naughty” sign at me, are you?
Next in the booth – our Sequential Brands Group CEO, Karen Murray, and our EVP of Strategic Brands and Development, Chad Wagenheim.
We also had DJ Jason Jani in charge of all the music for the evening. Jason has been our DJ for several parties. https://www.sceeventgroup.com/jasonjani-sce-dj-nj/
Here’s a fun photo of Thomas Joseph, Jerry Hagerty and Sequential Brands Group President, Andrew Cooper.
At the end of a busy business day, everyone was eager to gather together for the celebration. Here’s another great group shot with Liz Nissen, Dorian Arrich, Blaze Pennington and Heather Kirkland.
Angus Chen and Lynn Goodwin stopped for this quick photo. Both Angus and Lynn have worked with me for many years.
And here are Brittany Manchio, Audrey Kinsey and Gianella Domdom from our finance and legal teams.
Many enjoyed the holiday cocktails served throughout the evening. This themed drink is called “Cranberry Paloma” from the November 2018 issue of “Living”. It includes a touch of sweet-tart cranberry sauce with the tequila and grapefruit. https://www.marthastewart.com/1533578/cranberry-paloma
Here’s one of Dorian and Samantha Frisoli.
And one of Katie Reeves and Natalie Jupp.
There was even a game of limbo – here’s Levi Garcia taking his turn.
And then Liz Nissen – they both made it another round. Limbo is a traditional dance contest that originated on the island of Trinidad. The contest is played with a horizontal bar or line of some kind. All contestants go under it with their backs bent backward. Whoever touches the line or falls is eliminated. The line is lowered for each round and the winner is the last one who passes under without penalty.
This snapshot is of Tom Villano and Katie Reeves. The Americano can hold up to 250-guests in this light-filled space – lots of room for everyone to mingle and enjoy the good company.
Here are Michelle Turek and Rachel Stewart.
At one point we all stopped to thank everyone for their hard work, review the highlights of the year, and cheer the many goals for the new year ahead.
Back at the photo booth – here’s a group photo with Mike Verassi, Lynn, Martin Mendoza, Ana Velasquez, Leticia Vazquez, Stacey Tyrell, and Frank Sanchez.
Here’s another fun one with Dorian and Blaze – colleagues and cousins.
Everyone had time to stop for the camera. Here are Samantha, Kayla Durham, Heather, Erwin Kersellius, Frank, and Levi.
Here’s a photo booth image of Kaitlyn D’Angelo and her mom, our Home Division President, Carolyn D’Angelo.
And here’s Lincoln Patterson and one of our great interns, Olivia DeLone.
Liz, Blaze, Sam Perlman, and Shubha Murthy posed for this booth picture – everyone had so much Christmas spirit.
Our banner was made using my Cricut Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Edition from Michaels. If you haven’t gotten a Cricut yet, check it out – it can do so many fun things! It was a lovely gathering for all. Tomorrow, I will share some of the decorations I’ve put up around my home. https://www.michaels.com/
