Not long ago, we invited members of the press and media, who often cover family living content, to join us in cooking two recipes from the book. Our Martha & Marley Spoon team joined the event in one of our studio kitchens. And even more exciting, we used my new eight-quart Everything Pressure Cooker that will be available on both QVC and Amazon later this year!
Everyone had so much fun. Here are some of the photos - enjoy.
Here I am with Jennifer Aaronson, culinary director for Martha & Marley Spoon. After attendees arrived, I welcomed everyone to our offices and talked about how exciting it is to have my “Pressure Cooker” book recipes adapted to fit the Martha & Marley Spoon meal-kits. The recipes have been rigorously tested and are sure to be delicious and nutritious. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
We set-up work stations for the attendees in our Everyday Food Kitchen, and provided them with Martha & Marley Spoon boxes, containing two recipes and all the necessary cooking ingredients for the dishes. The large photo on the recipe card shows how one dish should look like at the end! Working in small groups, everyone made Ginger-Chicken Ramen with Mushrooms & Japanese Noodles, and Curried Lentil & Arugula Salad with Goat Cheese and Carrots.

On the back of the recipe card are easy-to-read and easy-to-follow steps and helpful tips. Martha & Marley Spoon is adding one pressure cooker recipe from my book per week to their meal-kit ordering menus now through September 27th. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
And here is my new eight-quart Everything Pressure Cooker. I love this appliance. It is bigger than other models, cooks up to 70-percent faster, and has the handsome gray trim. It will be available on QVC and Amazon this November – just in time for those holiday meals. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
We had 16-press and media attendees – the first to join me in cooking these delicious pressure cooking recipes. I talked about my mother, “Big Martha”, who loved using the pressure cooker. I also talked about how much time is saved by using a pressure cooker, and how Martha & Marley Spoon helps to cut down even more cooking prep time without compromising flavorful and creative home cooked meals. I told the group these recipes in my new book are perfect for busy parents, working professionals and couples wanting to learn how to make dinner in a flash – so easy and so fun. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
A Murray’s cheese board was out for guests to snack on while cooking. It included a delicious selection of cheeses along with nuts, fruits and cornichons. (Photo by Laura Manzano) https://www.murrayscheese.com/
We also provided great pairing selections from the Martha Stewart Wine Co. This is Sierra Trails Old Vine Zinfandel. We also served Racine Chardonnay, and Racine Rosé – one of my favorites. (Photo by Laura Manzano) http://marthastewartwine.com/
And we offered a signature cocktail for the event – Autumn Spritz from the September issue of “Living”. If you haven’t tried it yet, be sure to pick up a copy of our magazine for the refreshing recipe. The issue is on newsstands now. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
As with all our Martha & Marley Spoon meal-kits, everything was already pre-portioned and ready to use. The only ingredients Martha & Marley Spoon ask you to provide are olive oil, salt, pepper and flour. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
Here is Jennifer talking to Jeremy Kaplan, editor-in-chief of Digital Trends. It was so much fun to talk to everyone as they made their meals – they all commented on how fresh the ingredients were and how easy it was to follow the recipes. Just cut and prepare as the instructions say – no planning or shopping, so much of the work is already done by the time the food arrives at home. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
Everyone was eager to cook their dishes. Martha & Marley Spoon also provides enough ingredients for generous servings, so no one is left hungry after the meal. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
I showed everyone the great features of my eight-quart stainless steel pot. It comes with a tri-ply bottom for even heat, includes adjustable pressure settings and 14-programable settings including manual, slow cook, sauté/sear, yogurt, rice, multigrain, meat/stew, poultry, soup/stock, steam, beans/chili, cereal, keep warm and delay. Plus, the insert can go from stove top to cooker. (Photo by Laura Manzano)

Everyone loved the ramen – every single serving was devoured. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
Each attendee received a gift bag as they left. We love using light, canvas totes, that everyone can use again and again. Inside each tote attendees received Martha & Marley Spoon vouchers, a discount voucher for Martha Stewart Wine Co., a Martha Stewart Collection square ladle from Macy’s, a September issue of “Martha Stewart Living”, a signed copy of “Martha Stewart’s Pressure Cooker” and a bag of Kame Chuka soba curly noodles.
