Everyone loves a little something sweet during the holidays. Order a tin, or two, or three for friends, children’s teachers, neighbors, and check them off your list now – it’s that easy.
There are two choices – milk chocolate cashew kettle corn brittle or my peppermint bark – both are so delicious.
The peppermint bark is made with white chocolate, dark Belgium chocolate and crushed pieces of candy cane.
And while the chocolate is still warm, a skewer is pulled through the two making a feathered pattern on the bark.
Each tin contains two pounds of this scrumptious treat – and then tied with a festive red bow and gift tag.
The cashew kettle corn brittle also comes in a two pound tin and tied with gross grain.
I love milk chocolate, so our brittle is covered in delicious milk chocolate cut in big chunks for each tin.
The brittle includes fresh cashews and kettle corn, which is a sweet-and-salty variety of popcorn that’s typically mixed or seasoned with salt and oil.
Here is a closer look at the brittle that gets enrobed in chocolate.
Order these treats as gifts and be sure to order one for your holiday buffet as well!
Here is QVC host, Rick Domeier, waving at me before our appearance. He was very excited to get a tin for his mom, Phyliss.
I also shared some of my savory foods. This is wild caught shrimp from the Outer Banks – so delicious, and so tender. You get three pounds of shrimp – about 21 to 25 shrimps per-pound, so they’re the perfect size. It also comes with my own cocktail sauce.
And I shared my juicy Black Angus prime rib from my friend, Pat LaFrieda. This prime rib roast gets encrusted with a dry rub of the best peppercorns, which are included. All your guests will love it.
It is called an au poivre rub, which means it is covered with loosely cracked peppercorns and then cooked. It comes raw and vacuum packed with the bag of peppercorns ready to rub and place in the oven. The peppercorns include black, green, white, and reddish pink, which are actually berries that come from a South American shrub.
And, of course, I talked about my Martha Stewart wines. My holiday wines come with gift bags for easy giving. You can order 12-bottles with six red and six white, or a mix of three bottles each of four different wines I selected.
My selections include: a 2016 Bear Hug Chardonnay, 2016 Cala de Poeti Pinot Grigio, 2017 Cala de Poeti Sangiovese and a 2016 Burke Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines are some of my personal favorites.
All my wines will go well with everything you serve for the holidays – and remember, each one comes with a decorative faux bois gift bag. Give one as a hostess gift, or holiday gift for colleagues and friends.
It’s so much easier for wine to come directly to your door, so this weekend, please go to the QVC web site to order my special “Christmas in July” holiday gourmet foods offerings and get ready for the holidays.
