It’s time to start thinking about summer entertaining.
Last week, to celebrate the beautiful warm weather, we hosted a special Martha & Marley Spoon Grilling event at our New York City headquarters. Nearly 50 lifestyle editors and influencers, and members of the press, attended the gathering. We provided lots of grilling ideas, tips and a special vinaigrette station where guests could make their own healthy, wholesome and flavorful salad dressing. We served a selection of skewers and kebabs - all available from our Martha & Marley Spoon meal kit menu. And, the grilling tools, platters, bowls and accessories are from my collection exclusively at Macy's. Plus, everyone enjoyed wine from our new Martha Stewart Wine Co. It was a wonderful time for all, and a great way to welcome the summer season.
Here are some photos.
The event was held on our rooftop deck at the historic Starrett-Lehigh Building. Our executive offices look out over the Hudson River. It was a warm and windy evening, but a beautiful venue for the gathering. (Photo by Laura Manzano)

We also served Japanese-Style Chicken Skewers, also available on the web site. These include Yakitori, meaning “grilled chicken,” cooked over high heat and brushed with a salty and slightly sweet sauce. They are so delicious. Our copper serving bowls are from my Heirloom collection at Macy’s. (Photo by Laura Manzano) https://marleyspoon.com/menu www.Macys.com/MarthaStewart
Just look at how well they cook on this Big Green Egg. Everyone loved watching the demo and tasting these summertime favorites. Our grilling tools and accessories are all from my collection exclusively at Macy’s. (Photo by Laura Manzano) www.Macys.com/MarthaStewart
Our third skewer option for the event was steak kababs. This recipe was adapted from my show, “Martha Stewart’s Cooking School” on PBS, which highlights the cuisine of the Arabian Gulf. I love these kebabs – so great for any summer meal. (Photo by Laura Manzano) http://www.pbs.org/food/shows/martha-stewarts-cooking-school/
Attendees could make their own Spiced Date Vinaigrette or Yogurt-Herb Dressing to take home. Ball Jar provided beautiful glass jars for the take home dressings. (Photo by Laura Manzano) @ballcanning
I also made some. The dressing and vinaigrette recipes are from Martha & Marley Spoon – they’re great for salads or for use as dip for garden fresh vegetables. (Photo by Laura Manzano)

We also had cool refreshments for everyone to enjoy in our Martha Stewart dispensers with stands from my collection at Macy’s. (Photo by Laura Manzano)
My friend, Chef Wylie Dufresne also stopped by. Chef Wylie is known for his excellent molecular gastronomy work – he is a very science-forward chef. He just recently opened Du’s Donuts, a doughnut and coffee shop in the William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. (Photo by Laura Manzano) http://www.dusdonuts.com
