My latest book, “Martha Stewart’s Vegetables” is an indispensable resource for selecting, storing, preparing, and cooking from the garden and the market. The 150 recipes, many of which are vegetarian, highlight the delicious flavors and textures of everyday favorites and less common varieties.
Earlier this week, I conducted a book signing at Costco, one of the top retailers in the United States. The store sells many books, and has always done well promoting and selling the Martha Stewart titles.
This event was very successful - we sold more than 100-books at the Norwalk, Connecticut warehouse. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the customers, and seeing how eager they were to try the book's recipes. Enjoy our photos…
“Vegetables” is my 87th book. It’s a great source for selecting, storing, and preparing fresh, healthy vegetables.
i have done many book signings at this Costco located in Norwalk, Connecticut. It’s just a little more than an hour from our offices in New York City, but only minutes from my former home in Westport. http://www.costco.com
The crowd at this Costco was already lined up by the time I entered the warehouse. It was so nice to see such an enthusiastic group of people excited about my latest book, “Vegetables”.
Loretta was the first one in line – she arrived an hour early!
My books were stacked upon this table for customers to look at and purchase.
This Costco was very well prepared with a large supply of books. If you haven’t already gotten your copy of my book, “Martha Stewart’s Vegetables”, you can purchase it at any of the more than 675 Costco warehouse stores.
Loretta made some new friends in line – they all bought several books for family members.
This guest was already perusing the pages for recipes.
It is so nice to see people reading my books at the store.
Whenever I sign any book, I always bring my own supply of pens – color coordinated to the book I am promoting. I am a big fan of Le Pen by Marvy – they have such an array of colors. http://www.uchida.com/
This guest also bought multiple books – so many were already thinking about the holidays, and purchased them as Christmas gifts. Have you started planning for the holiday season? It will be here before we know it.
Whenever I conduct book signings, I always try to stop for photos when possible – it’s very important to keep the line moving, but also to take time to meet with the customers.
I met a lot of children at this book signing – always fun to meet members of the next generation of cooks.
Guests were instructed to pick up the book, get it signed and then purchase it. These guests had already picked out some recipes they wanted to try at home.
And, I always like to personalize the books I sign – it’s a detail that is very important to me. Some ask for specific notes, which I write when I can.
I had the opportunity to talk to people about my products and to learn first hand feedback.
Here ia another happy customer.
This line went down one aisle and circled around another.
This gentleman wanted to give a couple books to his buddies, so they could work on their cooking skills.
This guest did all her grocery shopping first before standing line. The audience was so energetic.
This guest gave my book a “thumbs up!”
This is Judith Katz. She wrote and designed the book, “The Beautiful Pond”. I happened to visit Westport’s Terrain while she was conducting her own book signing there last year.
Here I am with the store’s manager, Raheem. He did a great job getting the book signing set up.
After the event, I had a little time to sign several more stock books at the table.
I signed more than 100-books during this event – it’s a lot of writing, but my hand is used to it.
“Martha Stewart’s Vegetables” – pick up your copy today, and make some wonderful new dishes for your family – you will love this book!!
