The third annual Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure took place this past October 7th - 10th. This festival benefits two very worthy hunger relief organizations, The Food Bank of New York City and Share Our Strength. I had the great pleasure of hosting one event last Saturday morning called Milk and Cookies held at The New York Times Building. I was joined by many wonderful chefs from some of my favorite restaurants and bakeries, who shared a fabulous cookie assortment with the crowd. Milk was provided by The Manhattan Milk Company, which delivers old-fashioned glass bottles of local organic milk to Manhattan and Brooklyn.
During the event, I gave a demo of MSLO’s new cookie app for the iPad, called Martha Stewart Makes Cookies, and will be available at the iTunes Store on November 1st. This interactive app contains more than 50 of our favorite cookie recipes, each with a beautiful image. It is complete with how-to-videos, photos, timers, shopping lists, packaging tips, and a place to add your own notes. Also on November 1st, look on newsstands for our latest Martha Stewart Holiday Cookies special issue.
This is one of four MSLO activity stations set up for children and their parents. This one had crafting supplies from the Martha Stewart Crafts line at Michaels.
And this, of course, is our terrific Cookies book. It has 175 recipes and variations that showcase all kinds of flavors and fancies.
I’m really proud of our new and gorgeously designed ‘cookie app’ for the iPad. Look for its debut on November 1st.
Also on November 1st, look for the latest Martha Stewart Holiday Cookies special issue. It’s filled with great ideas.
