I’m so excited - today we’re kicking off a great sweepstakes with Domino® Sugarin conjunction with my television show, “Martha Bakes”.
I love “Martha Bakes” - it’s a show where I get to share my best tips and techniques for making all your favorite baked goods right at home. And now we’re running a sweepstakes with the country’s most widely recognized sugar brand - Domino® Sugar. The sweepstakes offers all of you a chance to win a variety of weekly prizes from my collection at Macy’s as well as the grand prize opportunity to travel to New York City to see me and a LIVE taping of “Martha Bakes”! It’s so easy to enter - just go to MarthaBakesNYC.com. The contest runs from August 15th - today - through September 12th. And, follow my Twitter page @MarthaStewart for additional information.
Enjoy these photos from Season 10 of “Martha Bakes”, which airs weekends on PBS - check your local listings for air times.
“Martha Bakes” is such a wonderful way to learn how to bake anything – breads, cookies, cakes, tarts and so much more. Our special Season 10 is filled with ideas and tips for both the beginner and experienced baker. Here I am with my berry layer cake, which you’ll see in our “frosted cakes” show.
Always on hand – sugar from our longtime sponsor, Domino® Sugar. Domino’s offers dark brown sugar, light brown sugar, confectioner’s sugar and granulated sugar. I am sure you’ve all used their sugar over the years.
This coming weekend, tune in to PBS to watch the episode on “fanciful tarts”. You’ll love these individual lemon custard tarts.
These tarts have easy press-in crusts that are filled with a citrusy custard. Gilded with gorgeous piped swirls of meringue, they’re guaranteed to be a hit at any gathering.
And you’ll love our fruity puff pastry tarts – this one with red raspberries and mascarpone. It may look difficult to make, but I assure you, it is not. I will share how to make this patisserie-quality showstopper your family and friends will love!
In another upcoming show, I’ll show you how to make delectable and impressive chocolate desserts including this chocolate peanut butter tart.
From chocolatey to citrusy – this season, I will also show you how to make these mouth watering orange-curd cupcakes.
Each cupcake has just the right amount of orange zest. The orange slice chip is optional, but they’re so easy to make – just dry them in the oven to create this fancy garnish.
Last week, we made this brown butter swirl pull apart bread – it was part of my “breakfast pastries” show. If you missed it, go to my web site for the recipe. https://www.marthastewart.com/1530741/brown-butter-pull-apart-bread
Domino® Sugar has been a staple in my kitchen for as long as I can remember. My mother, “Big Martha”, always used Domino’s in all her baking, and so does my daughter, Alexis. Domino is used on the east coast. https://www.dominosugar.com
And their C&H brand sugar is used on the west coast. https://www.chsugar.com
Last month, we celebrated Season 10 of “Martha Bakes” on Facebook LIVE. I have an excellent group of people who work with me to create the shows you watch on PBS – chefs, stylists, producers, and our technical camera crew. Everyone works very hard. Here, Thomas Joseph and I are making cupcakes. If you missed it, go to my Facebook page to view.
These charming dark chocolate brownie cupcakes have lavender glaze and pretty little edible pansies on top. They’ll be in my upcoming “decorated cupcakes” show.
We sugared our own pansy petals, and they are so beautiful – just be sure to choose edible flowers that have not been sprayed with any chemicals.
You can easily use candied flowers to embellish any dessert you like – it’s so easy – just use egg whites, water, sugar and flower petals.
Here I am holding a tray of these gorgeous cupcakes – everyone on the crew loved them – so perfect for a summer treat.
And don’t you want to make these woodland faux bois cookies iced with green pistachios on the edge? The cookie is a vanilla and chocolate shortbread swirl – totally irresistible.
Here I am holding a plate of our woodland faux bois cookies. In the forefront is our artisanal boule bread that I made just a couple weeks ago in our “decorative breads” show.
I love our ombre strawberry birthday cake made with buttercream icing and piped with the simple leaf tip – you can do it! This cake will be featured in episode 12.
So, go to www.marthabakesnyc.com for all the details of our Sweepstakes, and enter for your chance to win a three-day two-night stay in New York City to see me and a LIVE taping of my show, “Martha Bakes”! Remember to watch “Martha Bakes” on PBS. And, thank you to Domino for being a steadfast sponsor and supporter of our broadcasts.
