For this year's holiday season, we at Martha Stewart Living magazine, decided to publish 138 of the best decorations, recipes, and gifts from A to Z. These are all fun and beautiful things to make and to share with family and friends. I've been busy demonstrating some of these projects on my television show and also on the Today show. Instructions can be found in the December issue of Living as well as at Marthastewart.com. Please have a look at what we did yesterday on Today!
Back stage with Hugh Grant!
The sparkling snowmen make an impressive display. Their bases are made from treat boxes and can be used for candy gifts.
The sparkling candles were made by coating pillar candles with Mod Podge and rolling them in glitter.
I demonstrated how to make a star wreath covered with boxwood and decorated with jingle bells.
We also made these festive holly leaf decorations out of felt and ornaments. The holly template can be found at marthastewart.com.
As usual, the demo table was neatly organized and well-stocked. I like to demonstrate as much as possible on the Today show.
Here I am on set all ready to go!
These elf figurines are a joy to make. All you need are pine cones, pipe cleaners, and other simple supplies. They can be used as decorations on a mantel, under a tree, or atop presents.
And, of course, I just love glitter birds in little nests. The birch log favor boxes are made from paper towel rolls around which our clip art is wrapped. Down load it at marthastewart.com.
It’s always a pleasure to appear on Today!
Officer John Riley and his beautiful horse, Trooper stopped to say hello to Mary Curren and me on our way into the Today show.
