Remembering the Legend - Oscar de la Renta
Dear Readers,
I am mourning the loss of one of the last great designers of the 20th century - the legend and genius, Oscar de la Renta.
His designs evoked glamor and luxury and were celebrated as some of the most finely made in all of fashion. He was a true talent, who went from drawing dresses for newspapers and fashion houses as a teenager, to creating dresses for Jacqueline Kennedy and every first lady thereafter, not to mention for countless celebrities and women all over the world!
Oscar appeared several times on The Martha Stewart Show to highlight his quintessential wedding gowns. On stage and in life, he was of course always very well dressed, handsome, charming, fun and he possessed an elegance rarely seen in men anymore. I will miss him, as will the world of fashion and beyond.
Please remember him with me by watching his appearances on my show. Click here to see the videos.
