A Holiday Chat on Facebook and John Boy's Outpost
It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and I have been very busy getting ready for America’s most important meal.
Today, I am hosting another LIVE Facebook chat from my home in Bedford, New York - this one on pies. I’ll talk about all sorts of pies, and my best tips for making them. Plus, I will take you into my dining room and show you my beautifully set Thanksgiving table. Be sure to join me on Facebook at 11am EST for part-two of my holiday chat.
Yesterday, I hosted a LIVE “Talking Turkey” Facebook chat. It was so much fun. I displayed fresh turkeys on my counter, along with organic vegetables and fruits I grew on my farm, and talked about all the things needed to prepare a delicious, healthy and filling Thanksgiving meal. I also invited editorial director of food, Sarah Carey, and our food development director, Thomas Joseph, to join me and share their holiday plans. If you missed it, you can still watch it - click here, "Talking Turkey" on Facebook.
Earlier in the day, I visited John Boy’s Outpost, a charming shop in Bedford owned by John Ubaldo - a businessman gone farmer who is passionate about selling and providing fresh, organic edibles from his farm, and other small farms and businesses in the area. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I highly recommend you stop in at the Outpost - you’ll love it.
Enjoy these photos and I’ll see you at 11am on Facebook!
